Paul came to us by way of the Air Force and previous church staff experience. He is a chaplain in the Air Force Reserve and served a four year active duty tour from 2009 to 2013. During his tour he traveled the country recruiting seminary students and pastors for the chaplain corps. Paul spoke in seminary chapels, classes, churches, and built relationships with key leaders in many of our nation’s denominations. Following his tour, he returned to reserve status.
As pastor of Tusculum Hills, Paul is helping the church reach an ever-changing community. South Nashville has nearly every walk of life. The influx of refugees has created an interesting ministry need and the church is rising to the occasion. A unique partnership with Forest Hills Baptist and Nashville First Baptist has allowed the church to expand its ministry to refugees.
Paul’s history as an associate pastor includes leading youth and children’s ministries at churches in Tennessee, Texas, and Kentucky. He is a graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas and the University of Tennessee.
